About Linda J.P Wang............

Linda J.P Wang was born to a large family living in the French District of Shanghai in the early springs of 1940. During the fall of 1949, the height of the civil war,her family followed the Chinese central government to Taiwan what was originally believed to be a temporary move became permanent when family’sfinancial status deteriorated drastically in less than a year. The maids left, followed by the chauffeurs, and butlers. Despite the tragic event, she states “I amgrateful that my young age protected me away from feeling of the pain by such drastic changes in life. And I spent more than half of a century on the beautiful island and USA , got the best of my life of art .                          
 
At an early age Linda J.P Wang had already veloped a passion for art. Enduring the new reality of the family’s financial crisis, pursuing a luxurious dream of art became an impossible expense. This dream was postponed for another decade until 1960. She studied paintings, enlightened by Mr.Y.S.Liu  , a graceful man the arts who portrayed a rich understanding of life through his works.Linda J.P Wang learned and built a solid foundation of Chinese ink painting and who also inspired her, for the passion of arts.later years she proceeded next to charcoal drawing and water painting. when she saw the works of Mr, Chang Jie for the first time, she wasimmediately drawn to the vibrant beauty and aleidoscopic color of his flower petals — breathtaking colors that led her to become Chang Jie’s student. Through the tutorship, she learned water color techniques, including the key for unraveling the secrets of hues And tones. This also opened her eyes to see the world of rainbows that has since been her haven.during the Following years, she traveled multiple times to Europe, where she visited countless museums and art Galleries. Each one of the visits became an instigating push to her creations.

          Water color painting could no longer fully explain the sentiments of my hearts nor capture the joys and Sorrows of life that Isought to express” she recalled. In 1900, she discovered the art of abstract paintings And was immediately captured by its boundless beauty.    




 
                                     Taipei displayed her past two years of work and presented in the public for the first Time. This exhibition ended with a huge successand led to her second private exhibition “ Flower Dancing, Dancing Flower” in year 2000 at the Howard Hotel. Same year, she was invited by the Art Festival 2000, Taipei for another exhibition, she called “ Flight of Butterflies” To her, the images are rflections Of her life, and the accolades she has received are so real, and also the recognition of art herself.
